Want To Be Successful In Your Industry? Here Is The Formula!
A few ways to become successful in your industry are:
1. Work harder.
2. Fail fast, Learn quickly.
3. Give it your all.
4. Listen more.
5. Creative and Innovative marketing.
6. Network more.
7. Educate yourself.
Old-fashion hard work is one of the simplest truths of success, and it should be the foundation you build your brand off of. There are plenty of individuals that will do just about anything to avoid choosing the "hard work" option.
However, working smarter is a result of hard work; will not replace hard work. If you want to crush your competitors, you have to outwork them, every single day of the week, and twice on Sundays!!!
One of the main things people get misconstrued about achieving success is that when you start to make progress, you can put it into autopilot. That is absolutely not the case. Take my first career after football, when I owned a construction business. When our brand became one of the largest subcontractors in the city of Baltimore, instead of working harder to elevate our brand, I got lazy, complacent, and arrogant.
Due to my complacency, six months later my business shut its doors, and I had to file Chapter 7 bankruptcy, to get rid of over 5.5 million dollars worth of business debt I could not repay.
Today, I have learned a lot from my past mistakes, and I am much more mindful of how I conduct myself when it comes to my business as a keynote speaker. I am very fortunate to achieve success as a keynote speaker to date, but that does not mean I am going to put my business and work ethic into autopilot. Quite the contrary, I work HARDER today than I ever did when I was beginning my business. I have been extremely fortunate to construct a power team of people, who help constantly push me to elevate our brand to a higher level.
I feel I outwork my competitors by networking constantly and growing your inner circle. I also have changed my marketing to creative and innovative marketing strategies. Social proof from people you have worked with in the past, continuously tweak your website with new and fresh content, and above all else WORK ON YOUR BRAND 7 DAYS A WEEK! I am not saying you have to work 24 hours a day 7 days a week, but I am saying that if you are willing to outwork your competitors and develop a winning culture, your brand is far more likely to flourish than the competitors!
People with a winners mentality are willing to do whatever it takes to get their vision and goals accomplished. Sweat, tears, and more sweat make up the formula for hard work. You'll surpass any competitor in your way if you're willing to try harder, work smarter, and learn from your past failures to elevate your brand to the highest level.
